Default Waiting for a new engine

Mostly just venting...

I am waiting for a new engine for my 2011 5.0 and they're on back order. It's already been a month. Just wondering if anyone else is waiting or if this has happened in the past? Just trying to get an idea on how long I might be waiting. 3 months, 6...

Back story: I got a 2011 from a Lexus dealer with 57K miles. I drove it 4K miles and the low oil pressure light came on. I took it to a Ford dealer. They found coolant and sludge mixed in with the oil. So I need a new engine.

There are plenty of salvage trucks out there with good engines. I would do that before I would pay a stealer. I assume your cylinder is cracked?

That's why I am weary of buying different brand vehicles at a dealer. Never know why they jumped ship... Sorry to hear about it. Hopefully you get fixed up soon

I'd just buy the 5.0 aluminator built for FI so you can supercharge it later jk. It's what I will do if my engine were to fail. Not the most practical for most though.

No warranty then get your *** out of the dealership what a waste of money. You could have a low mileage engine installed for half that cost.

Heck I see low mileage ecoboost engines complete around the $3000 CDN range from wreckers.
