Default Tune Question

OK I tried all 3 custom tunes, not programmers, including Mikes again just for you.

Stock vehicle gear 1-6 when pressed + comes on and I can move selector to P R N and back to to drive and the gears are still there. I also can turn truck off and back on and gear indications are still there.

Custom Tunes any one in and the selector works like before my flash, if I move the gear selector to P R N and back to drive I have to click + again to get it back on. If I turn off truck it does not come back on unless I press +.

Mine didn't stay on when it wasn't tuned. Wish it did though.

The tuner has to use the newer strategy in the custom tune for the current gear indicators to remain on. You can read the computers strategy through the sct device.

Right... but what does the console shift indicator have to do with why it won't remain on? The tune should not change that in anyway. Also not sure what the SCT will do about it.

Read the first post again. The question was how to keep it on, not how to turn it on.

Thank you that is correct. Untuned it stays on even after you turn the vehicle off and back on again, or move from park to reverse no need to re hit the +

I wonder after rereading his post if he meant that if you hit - instead of + it will stay on?

I mean, nobody I know would post what he did on purpose.

Post means what it means stock if I hit + All the gears show up if I turn off truck and back on yes there still there.

Tuned do the same thing after turning back on they are not there. Have to hit + again to get them back on again til I park or move the gear selector.

Same is true as stated if I change to reverse or park
