3/8" I believe. You need 50+ feet for a SCrew. There's coverage on it on the Raptor forums. Just google "Ford surgical tubing mod" and it should be the 1st result.

My 2012 XTR is pretty quiet, but even better after adding the dynamat.

They added dynamat to the headliner when I had my New Webasto Moon Roof put in, was there idea so we did it.

Then I added dynamat to all my doors when we changed the speakers and to the back of the door panels themselves, it made huge diffrence in the cab. Now when you tap the door its dull thud, not sharp tin sound...and made ahuge sound change for the New stereo I added.

I also changed my tires from the Pirelli's to the BFG's and lost the road noise I had from them....

Its is a Big Difference from our FX4 to My XLT, the XLT is super quiet now....

Cheers!

Grant

Damn...I had my headliner dropped when they were fixing the hail damage. Should've told them to dynamat it. Lol. Yeah one of the things I don't like about the truck is the way the doors close. Flimsy and jiggly sheet metal...might try some dynamat in the doors.

I never noticed anything wrong with the way the doors close on mine....but our Scab FX4 they suck! Thats actually one of many reasons, why I didn't buy a another Scab

yes that Dynamat is awesome stuff....it even gives the 6x8 speakers more bass sound...and you gotta love no rattles or squeeks, when the amp is pounding away...

Thanks for bringing this back up, I remember reading this somewhere a year or two ago and was trying to find it again.

The wind noise in my cab is very annoying...and even though the 2009 they gave me as a loaner was way quieter than mine...they said there was nothing they could do. Was actually getting a slight whistle through my seals on Friday with a cross wind.

I will be searching for the tubing tomorrow, really hope this works...its driving me crazy.

Is there a certain kind you need for sure? It sounds like 3/8" outside diameter 1/4" inside from reading those other threads. I'm assuming color doesn't really matter. Also sounds like you want a continuous spool of material. Others were messing baround on Amazon and stuff and having issues with it being in like 10 ft lengths, etc. I found this roll on Sears website for cheaper than what most were saying they got on Amazon. Does this look like the right stuff?
