Me too. Especially with the Michelins I put on. On newer roads you can't actually hear any road noise. It's about 25% quieter than a Range Rover i rode in recently...Never got the hype on those things, it felt cheap and rattly to me. But that's another argument.

I agree that I do hear slight buffeting wind on very windy days, but I am very suprised at how quiet the cabin is. And it's very stable in a crosswind.

I get a couple air leaks through the door seals, methinks. I have been planning on doing that door weather-stripping mod with surgical tubing. Just haven't been able to get the guts to explain to the family why I ordered surgical tubing

I have seen FX4's with that "Soundscreen" label on the glass so must be more than Platinums if it is the same (maybe it isnt exactly but it says soundscreen right on it like the pic). Windshield is orginal to the FX4.

Some guys did it on SD's and raptors. Basically you feed a length of surgical tubing through the inner part of the rubber stripping and it reinforces the weather stripping...apparently less air leaks and a more solid closing door. The door shudders when you close it because the weather stripping is weak, and it bounces off the medal making it shake. Worth a shot I guess.

lol.

Just make sure your blades, spoons, syringes, etc. are shipped elsewhere.

Seriously though, I think this is a good idea. I don't have wind noise issues but if my truck develops such, I'll keep this in mind.

Lol...Maybe I want to do some surgery on the truck. Don't worry! The scars will go away..

I think it weakens the rubber tubing when the doors get shut alot - especially when parked outside. Worth a try. I never remember hearing air leaks when new.
