I can ask. I have never had someone tell me no.

Just to check for tint seems kind of strange. I mean, if the point of making sure that the tint is not too dark is that police can see inside, .
Thats not the point of tint laws. Tint laws are there to make sure that you can see OUT of the vehicle so that you don't run **** over.

in my home city, some cops have tint as dark as mine. so why is it ok for cops to have tinted windows and not civilians? how do we actually know there is a law enforcement agent driving that car? i think if we have rules, EVERYBODY should have to abide by them or face the same consequences. but i never see a cop pulled over by another cop for window tint.

I have 15% on the two front doors. 35% on the back to make it match the front. And 35% on the windshield even though I believe he may have put 20%. It looks great. Dark but not too dark for driving at night. Then again, I use to have Limo all over on my lightning so this is nothing.

So that sounds like a person can decline. Just like police can ask to come into your home...most people don't know that they can say 'no', but once you open that door to LEOs, all bets are off. (And yes, I am aware that homes are different than vehicles, BUT if a person does not legally have to roll up their windows then the concept is still the same as not legally having to let law enforcement into your home...YOU DON'T HAVE TO CONSENT. Know your rights people).

I know many police officers who do not wear their seatbelts too...
