And who cares if you look silly at traffic stop w/all your windows down if need be? Can Law Enforcement make some roll their windows up? (I really don't know...i'm not being sarcastic). Just to check for tint seems kind of strange. I mean, if the point of making sure that the tint is not too dark is that police can see inside, and if you pull me over and my windows are down (thus allowing you to see inside) then I don't see what the problem would be. But then again, a lot of laws are quite silly and are followed "just because".
He means motorcycle cop, but he wants to use his law enforcement jargon vernacular on the F150 forum.

Well unless I'm mistaken, no one has held you at gunpoint and made you read, write, or participate in this redundant, juvenile thread.

And "bash"...really? It is just a light ribbing at something we find annoying. I'm sorry that our end of the week light hearted rants aren't quite up to the Shakespeare-like standard that you've come to expect on an F150 forum...

As far as I know the rear windows come tinted or side windows if you have a Scab. I wasn't aware that the front driver & passenger windows were tinted from the factory but it wouldn't surprise me if they were tinted at like 80% or something like that.

most vehicle glass has SOME tint in it. it's not just clear glass. it's not like a percentage, it's just enough to notice. way to do this, if your windows aren't tinted, look out of them, then roll them down and look out. it will always be brighter and more crisp looking with the windows down. if your windows were 100% clear glass, there would be NO difference. but come on guys, tint is to the owner's preference. if you want them light, pay the money and barely be able to tell you even tinted them. me personally, if i am paying, i want to know there is tint on my windows...

I'm a traffic cop. I write tickets for moving and equipment violations. Thats it. Its a safety thing. When you can tell me that nobody has ever been in an accident that wasn't caused by visibility issues I'll stop writing tint tickets. I didn't say that every city and county enforces tint but mine does and there is a reason for it.

I never said that I wasn't a dick for writing window tint, and we have real cops to worry about "real crime."
