I went to the dealership today and the service manager wasn't in. So I'll be back tomorrow. From talking to the mechanic seams like this go round they may change the entire drive shaft which is fine by me.

Britt, I have a question. Because this is a issue that is not only we'll know but a issue that keeps repeating itself in my 2013 truck. What happens when my warranty runs out, am I going to be stuck with the bill? Does this fall under the 36K or 60K warranty?

Yep. My 2010 Lariat did it. Dealership "patched" it 3 times in the 4 years I owned it.

I'm happy to hear that your dealer is taking steps in the right direction, Wayne. I'll escalate this to the regional customer service manager for further assistance. Please send me a private message with your full name, VIN, servicing dealership, and best daytime contact number. I'll get started right away!

As far as the "what ifs" for the future and the warranty, your best resource is your servicing dealership. As they're independently owned and operated, they'll best be able to advise you on how they would handle any given situation regarding your truck and their services offered.

At this time there isn't a need to have it escalated. I have a good relationship with my dealership, personally know all the service managers, service writers and mechanics. There was a ticket written today to see what Ford wants to do.

It seriously takes less than 30 mins to pull the driveshaft and lube the splines. If the clunk comes back after your warranty is up, fix it yourself.

Does it happen every time you stop or is random? I had a weird feeling when i hit the brakes and took off, it was hard to describe but it was almost a delayed thud, turns out it only happened around 3/4th a tank and was gas sloshing around

Have you addressed this with your local dealership, jrems? I suggest using this to schedule an appointment for diagnosis. Then, fill me in with the model year and mileage of your truck, as well as any information from the dealership visit.
