Unpair, and repair your phone. Also, make sure that you gave Sync permission to access messages.

Mine reads my messages just fine. This seems to be an intermittent issue that is usually fixed by simply repairing the phone.

I have have paired probably about 4 phones to it over time. Re-paired about a month ago. Where would I give Sync permission to access messages? I do not remember ever having to do that.

Thanks

A message should have appeared on your phone when you paired then.

Go into your phones Bluetooth settings and completely remove SYNC and repair. Then go into SYNC and tell it to download your phone book (this should prompt a permissions dialog on you phone) then tell SYNC to download all of your messages, this too should prompt a permissions dialog.

If you don't get the permissions dialogs, go into your phones settings and find yhe permissions. Make sure SYNC has Allow set for both contacts and messages.

The only thing I see under my BT for Sync is phone audio, media audio, and contact sharing, all checked. When I downloaded the phone book, I never got anything for messages. Could I be looking in the wrong spot?

Message Access should be the 4th on the list.

Check phone compatibility here:

Hi DBLX,

I see that you responded on the other thread stating that you have navigation. Please check your Owner account for updates: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account...p-to-date.html
