With a USB connection, activator restarts my pandora or local music files right where it left off when I restart the car (on the 911).

In the F150, I'm using bluetooth 2, with bluetooth 1 (primary device) being my iphone. Sync is dumb and a pita to switch to bluetooth two, and haven't tried using activator to restart music, because sync itself is too stupid to go back to the same bluetooth stream it had before it was shut off.

Every time I switch off, sync defaults back to aux input (the 3.5mm jack), and the source button doesn't cycle through bluetooth selections. The only way to get back to bluetooth 2 is hitting menu button a bunch of times, then scrolling to system settings, then scrolling to bluetooth devices, then scrolling to connect bluetooth device, then scrolling to my ipad device (not the default).

I keep meaning to try setting my ipad to primary and iphone to second, but then I don't think my iphone will interrupt when a call comes in.
im using the usb connection, and whether im using the apple mussic app or the Podcar app the music never kicks back on i just reinsstalled everything since iFile made my whole ipad crash, so we'll see if it works this time around.

I came across the same problem with having to start the music manually everytime i started my truck. I found a way to make it happen though. I like 'activator' a lot more than 'plugged in', however activator will only perform one command when power is connected. You can either play music or launch an app.

What Im doing is running both 'activator' and 'plugged in' at the same time. 'plugged in' opens PodCar when the power is connected, and 'activator' plays the music when the power is connected. The result: PodCar opens and the Music starts playing everytime I turn the key. This seems to be the only setup that will perform both of those functions. Hope its of some help!

Got a new iPad Mini 4G with IOS 6.1.3, apparently there isn't a jailbreak for it..... Does anyone have any insight? Also, you can't load previous software on it when it comes with 6.1.3 (or so I'm told). My brother was helping last night but we didn't get anywhere with it.

That was the first one we tried. Said it wasn't compatible. I'll have to try again.

That site is spam/virus. The real site is evasi0n.com but is only available up to 6.1.2

Same here, just installed my ipad today. I am already starting to hate not having activator. I know I'm going to get sick of locking the screen since I have the delay on the screen prior to lock so long. I read for the jailbreak that they already have a 7.0 jailbreak so they are skipping 6.1.3.

What part of PA are you from? I grew up in Bucks County then PSU for college.

I use VNC and screen sharing extensively to control other computers I need to access from my laptop, but for some reason, never got around to doing it for the hard-mounted iPad in my F150... Set it up today, and it works GREAT!

Its a bit techno-geeky, so skip right on by if that kind of thing isn't of interest....

I installed 'Veency' on my F150 iPad, a free cydia VNC app. So now I can have my F150 in the driveway, just kick on the iPad, and then do any administrative tasks/updates/song loads or whatever right from my laptop inside (macbook air in my case). I tried both OSX's built-in 'http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screen_Sharing' and another excellent and free VNC app http://sourceforge.net/projects/cotvnc/, both worked excellently.

For those that aren't familiar with VNC (virtual network computing), it is basically mirroring and controlling one computer (in this case, my ipad) from another computer (in this case, my Macbook air).

I also use netatalk and 'openSSH', two more free cydia app, that allows me to just mount the iPad file systems remotely on my macbook and use a remote login shell into the iPad.

Again, this kind of stuff isn't going to be all that interesting or easy to set up for most, but I know there are a few others that might take advantage of this setup. Reminder, make sure you change the default root and mobile passwords on an iPad or iPhone if you are going to open them up to networks...

Screenshot of my F150 mounted iPad being "Veency'ed" on my MacBook Air, did some updates on the truck iPad while I watched the Bronco's finally lose a game earlier today...

PS: NO OFFICIAL JAILBREAKS for IOS 7 yet. Beware of sites claiming to already have a jailbreak.
