are you lights on all the time? or do they turn on only when the doors open? and where again did you tap in for power?

I already have 2 LED pod lights that turn on when the doors open (and the running boards deploy) one for each door. but these are WAY brighter. I might have to upgrade.

I tapped from the dome on the passenger side rear harness, so on when the dome lights are on. I run my bed lights and running board lights off them.

I ran one wire in the cab for the bed lights, the ground is on the chassis. The bed light positive is where I tapped for the running boards.

I installed red marker lights on the ends of my running boards over the weekend. I still need to wire in the power though. i figured the easiest place to tap in for power is the rear license plate lights. my Fusion rear bumper only uses one of the rear license plate lights so the other is available to power the marker lights. plus they're already tied into the aux lighting system.

as soon as i get power wired in i'll get some pics.

It depends where you go/where you live. If cops have nothing better to do, yes.

The LED strip was held on with the sticky tape, but that started to get loose so I used these paper clips to hold it on. You cant see them unless you are on the ground

There is a small lip you can see/feel on the underside so you cant really see the lights. They shine down and light up the ground pretty well, I would have to wait until tonight. if you want that pic, let me know.

I then ran the wires up the bracket and tapped into the bed lights

Just want to throw this out there for you...

On those paper clips you're using, you can "remove" the chrome part and leave just the black part. Pinch/squeeze each individual chrome pieces inward, and it will separate from the black clip part.

Just an idea....
