Default Remote Access Installed!

I just had remote access installed on my 2012 FX4, and starts like a dream! Unfortunately I am getting an error code (00010030) when I try to lock/unlock it, and nothing happens when I click find.

Any of the folks who installed it run into similar issues?

Hmmm. Remote access? Or remote starter? Which series did you get (assuming its a Ford Remote Starter)?

Remote access, works on the interwebs and such! I have the factory starter ( integrated into factory key).

Also asked Benny in a PM, he hit it right on the nose. The dealer I used didn't program the VSS appropriately. I re-learned the unit and it worked perfectly!

Thanks Benny!

10030

The vehicle did not respond to your command. Please try again later (00010030)

The Remote Access system could not verify the vehicle completed the command. The error may be displayed even if the vehicle performed the requested functions.

● Retry command
● Turn ignition key ON for a few seconds then OFF ● Lock/Unlock the vehicle with door switch
● Check for low battery, charge vehicle battery.

Thanks jrgatfh, unfortunately it was the programing, and not one of the ''suggested fixes' by the code.

Tell me more about this access. I've seen some older posts about it, but curious about how it actually works and what it costs. I have a 100 series starter now. What would I need in terms of $ to convert this to cell access?

you'll need the VSS

http://accessories.ford.com/electron...ule-10670.html

and then you'll need

http://accessories.ford.com/aerial-asy-10667.html

then it's $50.00 a year to remote start your truck with your phone
