Seems like a great feature to have. Need to look into the sync lock pick system.

Well, I just tried this on my 2012 and it does not work. For me, with a volt meter pin9 is where I would get 12v when put into reverse, and it would go away when taken out of reverse. I have tried both pin 2 and pin 9 and no luck. I do notice that on my 2012 and by the wiring schematics I have from a 2011 f150, the ground is on pin4 while in the pictures posted its on pin 3... Maybe this mod does not work for 2011+??? Anyone with a 2011+ got this working? If so how did you do it... pictures would be much appreciated.

I too would like to know how to have it on anytime. I installed my back up today and works great with reverse. I have an alpine Nav and would like the option to switch on while in fwd position.

I see that this is a dead thread--but has anyone accomplished this with the 2016 302a power group?

There was a post quite a while ago to turn on the camera by applying 12 volts to a wire in the passenger side kick plate. It even gave the color code. I remember think it would be very easy to pick up power from the power port, add a switch in the cubbie and onto the kick plate. It did not say if the back-up light came on or not. I did not save the post and haven't been able to find it again. Maybe someone can.

That sounds like exactly the kind of post that I am looking for but have not been able to find--at least nothing for the 2016 f150, this looks like a great thread for the other guys though!
