Default Programing 2x Button

I have just installed a Ford Factory auto start to my 2010 F150, I also ordered in replacement key that has lock/unlock/alarm and auto start (2x) on it. IS there a way to program that x2 button to work with the Ford Factory Remote start. I currently have the Ford fob that has the key on it but would rather move both of these into one key.

In 2013, you press Lock, then Start twice. Hence, the "2x". Not sure if it's the same.

Press lock twice. Makes sure your doors are locked. Then press the remote start twice like it says. I have two fobs, one is a pain and I feel was the previous ownwr's primary fob. The other one has no issues.

Did you program the truck to recognize to recognize the new remote fobs?

Does the new fob, lock/unlock work?

I doubt it will work. The factory remote start for 2010 uses a separate fob for starting. From what I can tell, the factory RS button integrated into the key wasn't available for the F150 until 2011. There is a big difference in the electronics from 2010 to 2011. All of the OEM keys with the remote start built in I've seen are listed for 11-14.

But let us know if you do get it work. We went through this a year or 2 ago when my mom had RS added to her 2014 Expedition, which uses the same keys/RS system as the 2010 F150s.

Yes the lock/unlock work perfectly fine just the 2x auto start button does not.

You would think that considering that it just RF signal that there would be a way to program the new key to the same RF frequency

The issue here is that this is a 2010, where as the 2011+ have this built in the RS for this year is a little odd.

Will do, I am hoping that I will be able to figure it out as it is just an RF issue.
