Default Piece of tire missing. Replace?

I noticed today that there was a piece of the tread missing on my front driver side tire. They are the stock goodyear SRA's with 25K miles on them. Do you guys think I need to have it replaced? Does anyone know much about the tire warranty?

aslong as the missing part doesnt go below the bottom of the tread, wouldnt mind it. could have been a rock.

I'll probably just rotate my tires so that it'll be in the rear, just in case it decides to give me trouble.

Run it.

However, if it were me, I'd make it a point to show it to the wife so I could get some bigger, better tires. Just sayin'....

Any problem with a tire should be brought to the attention of a representative of the tire company, your Goodyear tire store. Have them check it out.

If this is not from a road hazard and is an actual tire defect, this may not be the only problem area. A problem may have arisen in the molding of the tire and could have effected other areas of the tire as well.

It is hard to tell from this side which is the problem, but I would definitely bring it to someones attention and have it documented in case of further problems or failure occur.

Just to be safe i would do a walk around of the truck and do a quick tire inspection every time I got into it.

It is not fun losing a tire at 60+ mph.

I had chunks of tread missing down to the steel belt on my BFG Long trails. Tire guy said I should replace. So I did. Have a replacement size and brand in mind when you go in to get them checked...
