This is how recalls start. Jk. But it never hurts to get it looked at.

Michelin AT tires I had on the 2010 had chunks of tread missing on all 4. Tires literally fell apart in 2 years. I wouldn't buy them again when the tire wore out. If they can't handle the stress of commuting, they're not a good tire IMO.

Call GoodYear & explain problem. They'll give you a reference # & direct you to a nearby GY facility to have it checked out. The facility will call GY with what they found & then GY will probably give you a deal on new tires if its warranted.

Thanks for the tip. I called Goodyear customer service and have an appointment set up for tomorrow at a local Goodyear store.

Have same thing on one of my SRA's with 10,000kms on it. Mine is the not in the middle tread but the outside. I have my winters on now but am going to show the dealer when I get service next month.

Please let us know what Goodyear has to say about that tread block shearing off. I hope they step up and help you out.

Well I'm sitting here at the tire store and they recommend to replace the tire. The tire also has some type of defect on the inside with the chord. They are giving me a credit towards the tire and I have to pay $100 for a new tire. Considering I'm about to drive over 1000 miles for Christmas, I thought it would be good to have it replaced.
