Default Performance or Appearance?

I have a 14 XLT 4x4 5.0 Screw that I'm looking to do some work on.

I use it as a work truck as well, and drive anywhere from 50-120 miles a day (except weekends). My question is, are there any performance upgrades that are really worth it?
I've considered tuners, CAI, exhaust, but I'm very new to all of this and need all the help I can get!
There are several appearance things I want to do, but can't justify spending the money on it yet if there are performance upgrades that are really worth it considering how much I drive.

Thanks for the help y'all!

Lots of threads on this.

Get a tuner if you want some more power. Exhaust if you want some better sound. Dont mess with any CAI's as the stock system is pretty good.

In my opinion, money's better spent on appearance( or stereo) considering it's never going to become a " fast" vehicle, without tens of thousands of dollars anyways... But they sure make gorgeous trucks when done up right.

A tuner would be a good bet do make a significant change. Besides that, I'd go appearance from the short bit you said you are looking for.

Tuner is best bang for buck. Exhaust just makes noise.

If you are handy and wanna spend $5k or so you can supercharge it and then it IS fast. Like stoopid fast. Lol.

I agree with a tuner with custom tunes is the best bang for your buck.

I went straight for appearance.

Suspension, wheels, tires etc...

Just my opinion.

You got to make it look like your F-150 first... personalize it.. than a tuner for sure.

I am going for Looks, and in the process I am adding a Tuner, so I can get those bigger tires and Deeper gears to run them, and keep the speedo set.
