Default Oops!

Slight run in with, believe it or not, an antique wagon Wheel, LMAO
Thinking I might just LineX my rocker panels on both sides.
Am debating on if I should do the fender flares and maybe front and rear bumpers.

?????

Was the waggon wheel painted? Sometimes "scratches" are just paint transfers and you can remove/buff them out.

I may be biased, but in New England everyone with an old rusted truck bed lines their rockers to try and cover it up. Now whenever I see them they make an otherwise good looking truck look bad. I would suggest what tothemax said and try and buff it out.

Here's a pic of a black 11th get with painted rockers and a bumper, should you decide to go this way.

Biased? Yeah, maybe As a "fix", I can see where even with the bed liner on the rockers it must look a bit cheesy. I did mine preemptively, because I knew where I would end up taking my truck, and I wanted to minimize the "pin stripes" before they happened. Plus, it's the most rugged coating to use on my home made bumpers.

Certainly not for ever taste, but I did the rockers, bumpers and Lund flares (1"):

Wow... I take back what I said. Very clean. I do a lot of driving and I'm pretty observant, and most of the trucks bed lined around here are missing at least half of the rockers when they try and bed line it haha. To be honest I would rock that on my sterling grey too

I actually see that truck around town, the owner of Line-X of Knoxville's brother had his whole Jeep done in Line-X and it actually made the old Cherokee look better.
And to think if you wanted a different color on the bottom and wheel lips, say to do them in grey they do colors also.

Actually, that bedliner job makes me wish I had done mine like that! Well done!

It was a dark, rainy night...

LOL, sounds like I'm starting a cheesy novel.

I was pulling out of a narrow drive that had 2 old metal wagon wheels on either side of the drive marking where the ditch is. My left side mirror assembly was blocking the view of the wagon wheel.

There are actual scratches in the fender flares and in the body paint.

Thanks for the pics. Helps make my decision easier.

I have been quoted $450 to do just the rocker panels, $2,200 to do rockers, fender flares, bumpers and power running boards.

Anybody have any experience doing something like this themselves using Herculiner or Durabak by brushing, rolling or spraying it on? Any pics of those projects?

I don't mind the $450 so much but I don't think just doing the rockers will look right.

That's exactly my thoughts too. Here in Illinois/Midwest, 9 times out of 10, that's whats going on. Bedlined rockers = half-done rust repair. Shucks, that's half the reason I did it to my old Explorer. But also cause it looks cool...

However, it does look kickass when done like the previous pics posted. Especially color-matched too. Definitely not cheap. I've been at multiple truck shows where people have color matched Line-X/bedliner on the flares/rockers/bumpers/etc. and man is that sweet.

I love the pic of the Sterling Gray with the red-pinstripe above it. Would love to do it to my Sterling Gray as well.
