Tire size only matters with respect to the GPS only if filled with nitrogen but only on Ecoboost with 6.5' bed. Gear ratio plays an important role in accuracy of GPS too if the truck has the appearance package. OP might have had gear ratio adjusted.
I had similar problem with my hand held Garmin 76s. When I wore my Vasque hiking boots, it was bout 7' off but when I wore my Asolo boots, it was accurate. When I bought the GPS I was wearing Asolo boots. Did not know how to recalibrate to the Vasque boots, so I got rid of the boots.

From what I understand it actually does. Anyone with MFT that spins their tires will be shown moving on the screen. I know, I was surprised too.

HardcoreFXFour,

When you get a minute to get off the floor from laughing, can you tell us what you think is the issue with the Nav? What is your basis for saying that bigger tires have nothing to do with the GPS issue?

Obviously something is going on with MFT and 2013s.

My dealer is clueless and is just giving me the standard "look for an update in the future" but isn't really acknowledging the issue.

How do I complain to Ford directly?

I thought there was just a GPS receiver on the windshield that uses satellite gps to determine speed and distance, just like any garmin or iphone, But obviously I'm wrong and there's more to it. I apologize for being an idiot. But this is a very common issue and I think everyone who has had this issue got the update and no longer has the problem.

Default Tsb 12-11-1......

...corrects the known problem with Navi showing you off the road, ahead or behind, etc. It also fixes problems with the system dropping pairing of your phone.

The TSB includes installing a new Navi card...make sure the dealer has one in stock when you go in to have this done.

My local dealer took about two hours to complete the requirements of the TSB.

I've attached a copy of TSB 12-11-1 for your evening reading.....

Northlight, thanks for the TSB.

But, I have already installed the 3.5.1 update and I still have Nav issues.

So not sure what to do next.

You could put the GPS in your pocket and it still works!
That is an accurate statement should we have been talking about a portable GPS device. However, in this case you are wrong.

Here is a list of tires my dealer says can be programmed into the computer:

255/65/17
265/50/18
235/75/17
245/75/17
265/70/17
275/45/22
275/55/20
275/65/18
315/70/17

So the diameter range is about 30-34.5".
This is exactly what I was told.

As strange as it may seem, and despite those people who believe that what Ford has installed is a regular GPS (Garmin, TomTom and the like) it is not.

This needs a fix.

My dealer says there are only a handful of reports of this problem at Ford so far. Please speak up. Maybe we can add some awareness and get this on their to do list.
