Default Misaligned bumper

So I'm getting ready to get new tires (275/65/20) and I went out to do some measurements to see if they would fit. And somehow my bumper is misaligned and my passenger side bumper/lower valence is only 3 inches away from the tire compared to 4 inches on the driver side! Looking at the bumper closely it looks like one side is sticking out a bit farther than the other side. Is there anyway to fix this? I'm scared because I don't think the tires I am getting would fit with the one side being so close.

4 inches driver

If you look closely you can see the left and right sides aren't lined up

Mine was the same way. My cracker jack dealership said it was normal. I bought off-road bumpers so it was no factor for me.

I think i'm gonna go to lowe's tomorrow and get some washers to put between the bumper and the frame on the left side. Hopefully that should stick it out to match the other side. With how it is right now I don't think I could fit 275/65/20 tires without rubbing.

I guess if the washers don't work my other option is to just take the little bumper caps underneath the fog light off.

Mine was the opposite. My driver side had less clearance than the passenger side. I noticed when I was fitting my wheel and tire combo. I trimmed the passenger side first then went to the driver side and noticed I had to trim more on the driver side to get them to fit. I am a bit OCD so I trimmed more off the passenger side so it will look equal, just not OCD enough to mess with shimming the bumper. Just one of the issues with mass produced vehicles. Fine details are not as important as quantity.

Mine is shifted over to the drivers side as well. Never measured it. Barely noticeable and not too worried about it...may be off 1/4" if that.

Its pretty flimsy to be honest, I would just try and yank it a bit.

Could one wheel just be farther back than the other? Maybe caster angle of the wheel or front suspension on one side is off , not sure if thats a possibility with these trucks or not

That was one of my first thoughts, but the only way it would be off I believe is if the mounting points on the frame are off which I doubt it would be or I would hope it wouldn't be.

These bumpers can be adjusted. Just loosen the bolts and it'll move some. Defiantly don't yank on it, you can do serious damage if you aren't careful.
