Default K&N Filter

I ran Simple K&N air filters on my trucks years ago. Now, I have a 2010 F150 5.4L. Can anyone tell me, are these filters still a wise investment? DI you really notice any improved mileage or HP? It's been years since I had one on my old trucks. Just wondering.

If you want dirtier oil, reduced engine longevity, no change to gas mileage or hp, and the joy of cleaning and re-oiling a filter periodically, then get one.

Just as I thought. Thanks for the info guys! I gear lots of talk on cold air intakes. Much difference there? I hear not, besides a gain of a few HP?

Increased intake noise, maybe a few hp (depending on how good the factory stuff is), looks cool, no change to mileage.

I doubt you gain even 2 hp with an intake. I bought mine for sound. Gives my 3.7 a deep, throaty tone under acceleration. No change in power or mileage.

Thanks guys! The extra sound would be cool though, but at a price.....they don't run overly cheap, just for that.
