Default How many beeps when locking?

I'd swear that when I first got the truck it would only beep once when I locked it using the key. Somewhere around 1000 miles, it changed to beeping twice.

I RTFM and it says this should mean a door or hood is open. I triple checked and tested and everything seems to be closed properly, but I still get two beeps. The instrument display doesn't show any warnings either.

I don't have remote start and this is the key I have. Any ideas WTF is going on? I'll have the dealer check it when I take it in for oil, but at this rate that will be another two months.

Mine only beeps once but sometimes I might accidently press the lock button twice and then it beeps both times.

Mine doesn't beep at all unless I hit the lock button twice and then it only beeps once?

it is possible you have a defective sensor that thinks the hood is open or something. But i would assume you would get a message that it is open (however i have a feeling that is only if you have the remote start option).

According to the manual, the only reason the horn will honk twice when locking is:

Doors not closed
Hood is open (Must have remote start or anti-theft alarm for this to trigger two honks)

ive read on the forums that the hood pin switch is usually the culprit.

Yea lol. It annoys me when people with factory alarms feel they have to hit the lock button twice and make it beep. OCD maybe haha.
