How many beeps when locking?

No, he has the same set up I do, truck came with the hood switch and no remote start.

I'm waiting to see his answer about the aftermarket alarm, because his lights do something that mine don't when using it.

I'm guessing he does have aftermarket alarm and that could also be causing the trouble.

No aftermarket anything. The flashing lights are on my CAR.

I would like the truck to be like the car.

Yep, it's the hood pin. If I open the hood and press the pin down with my finger and lock the truck with the key, I get one beep. Adjusted the pin and now I get one beep when the hood is closed.

Here's the culprit, on the driver's side fender.

Good to hear. How exactly did you adjust the pin? Sometimes when I use my remote start it beeps twice and won't start. I want to try and adjust mine and see if it goes away.

I bent the mounting bracket so the pin was raised about 1/8th inch.
