Hi 2feathers,

Have you had your dealership check this out? Let me know what you hear; if you need my assistance, just send a PM my way.

That's crazy. I've always hated my sliding rear window but hey, leather seats obviously can't come without one.
Can't take it through a car wash because it leaks all over my seats and Ford says that's normal. Nice to know that it might explode too.

Mine doesn't leak - I even use a pressure washer over the whole truck.

Good for you. I've had two different dealers tell me it's normal. I don't see how a leaking window can be considered normal unless the truck is submerged under water or something.

Mine leaks too, there's a TSB for the issue and Ford is retooling to make better seals. When there produced my truck goes in for the repair.

Here's my story ...

Oct. 30, 2012 ... I turned the truck on, then pressed electric heater for the seat, then pressed the rear defrost button. All three rear windows blew out and then the electric seat went extra hot and burned the element out. On the same day I brought the truck to Hathaway Ford in Amherst, NS. They ordered the part to fix the seat (which was not covered because the 3 year warranty was over) and contacted Ford Canada who would not cover the rear window. I was told they would not cover it because my personal insurance covers glass.

Nov. 15, 2013 ... I turned the truck off and the rear driver's side panel blew out on the inside of the truck. The rear defogger was not turned on. Speedy Autoglass was contacted and could not cover the replacement because the warranty had run out by seven days. Hathaway Ford was not contacted as they would not cover the original. Why bother?

Oh yes and since the first incident my battery has died several times unexpectedly. Hathaway Ford can find no reason for this through their diagnostics. I have replaced the battery. However, for no apparent reason the truck will not start on occasion.

Thank you all for your comments.
