Default Heated Mirrors...adding??

SO all this time,I thought my 13 had heated mirrors. Appears that it does not, no logo on mirror glass.

So now with the advent of Forscan, maybe not needed, would adding heated mirrors to may 13 Lariat be an easy add on?

ANyone know?

Just because the mirror doesn't have the logo doesn't mean its not heated. I had to look at my window sticker to see if mine had it or not. My rear defrost button turns on both the rear window as well as the side mirrors. Kind of a crappy design by ford not having either seperate buttons or seperate lights on the same button indicating side mirrors are heating... oh well hope this helps...

I will go pull the sticker and look. Had the rear defrost on this morning, lucky window did not blow, and after about 20 minutes asked the wife to touch the mirror for warmth, she said it was cold.

OK so the window sticker indicates they are heated, now to figure out how to test them?

Its kind of sad that we all are worrying about our rear window blowing now. thats why i disconnected the rear window plug...but I recently was trying to find out if my side mirrors were heated bc i'm replacing my smaller mirrors with tow mirrors and they all seem to have the heat option...so i checked my old window sticker..and sure enough...it was listed

hope yours has it too!

I've always just felt the glass to tell. If you get snow or frost, well that makes it really easy. A temp gun would make it pretty easy too. I've got a feeling that the truck might not put the heat on if it's too cold outside. To know for sure though, you could take the glass off one of the mirrors and check to see if there's wiring going to a heating pad behind it.

No snow in Texas this morning, LOL! It was about 62 with lots of dew out. Will try the temp gun!

Thanks!

You have a Lariat, you have heated mirrors. Why on earth do you need heated mirrors in TX anyway...
