Default Handgun Storage

I know this topic has been discussed but I was unable to find a thread on the subject. I'm curious to know where people store their handguns in their trucks. I know there is a small area under the third bench seat but I don't know how convenient it is under immediate trouble.

Granted some people may not want to discuss their storage because they like to keep it secret, but I was just curious for some ideas. Pics would be great if you had any.

Thanks

That quick disconnect looks very nice. I've got the third seat up front though so no center console for me.

Try the locking center console, or mount a push button floor safe to the floor behind your seat.

I went to Lowest and bought Sentry autosafe, I bolted it under the rear passengers seat and it fits all my needs

You talking Storage or carry? Conveniet under immediate trouble doesnt come to mind when I think storage. Just trying to get a sense of what you are looking for.

For Storage I'd recommend a small safe (as previously stated) that can be bolted or cabled to something in the truck.

For carry, I got a velcro mounted holster (blackhawk) then just bought some plastic/dashboard grade velcro and placed the soft-loop portion against the side of the console to mount the holster

**Knowing it depends on your state/local laws

for me with the front bench seat, I actually found that the gap in front of the seatbelt receiver between the drivers seat and the middle seat is just perfect for my holster. it hides my gun from plain sight but makes it very easy to grab with my right hand.

I guess I meant more carry than storage. I typically keep one of my handguns in my truck at all times so its storage but I want quick access.

I may be investing in seat covers in the next few weeks and I found that Wet Okole has a custom gun tote option for their seat covers. Its practically a little pouch that sits between your legs, might actually be what I'm looking for. Not as discrete as I'd like but it seems very practical.
