I just have the base system. As long as the sound doesn't get distorted I'm happy.

My mom is away for a month so I'm house sitting. I've been driving her 2010 fusion which has the sony system. It sounds really good. I know a lot of people complain but I guess you would have to be a hardcore audiophile.

I haven't heard the base system, but if Ford puts it in their vehicles I'm sure it sounds just fine!
