Getting dipped as I write this. Picking it up at 5:00. Unfortunately, I'll have to run quickly to teach my class. May not be able to take pictures until the weekend.
Hope it looks great - Fonzy himself is doing the work (can see him on U-Tube)

Just got a call from the folks that have my truck... they were not able to do my truck today because of excessive humidity. We have been inundated with horrible rain over the past few days - street flooding kind of rain - and the humidity has been stupid high.
Fonzy called me to tell me that he can't get a good line because of the humidity and doesn't want to give me the truck back until he can do it perfect.
Know what? I'm cool with that - I want a good job and I'm willing to wait till he can. I've seen his work and he's **** about doing a perfect job.
I'll be picking it up later and rescheduling for another time.
More to come...

Dipping is done. Picked it up last night and it looks awesome.
Was dark when I got it and working tonight. I'll take pictures and post over the weekend. I REALLY LIKE IT!
Getting a ton of compliments and believe me, if my friends didn't like it, they'd let me know.

A few questions:
Does the dipping give an airtight seal?
How well does this cover more flexible materials?
Would wiggling around hamper the drying process?
For an extra $100 would they turn a blind eye to who....er....I mean what I'm having dipped?

A few questions:
Does the dipping give an airtight seal? From what I see, yes, it looks air tight.
How well does this cover more flexible materials? Not sure - It looks like it remains flexible because it's more like a rubber then plastic. That question would be better directed to the plastidip people. Everything I dipped was solid and not movable. I'll ask next time I see him.
Would wiggling around hamper the drying process? I certaily hope not cause I drove it away less then an hour after he completed it. I was told not to wash it for 3-4 days for it to completely cure.

Seriously, I really REALLY LIKE the look. I've brought it to work several days now (raining like hell since) and have gotten tons of compliments.
What I like the most is that:
1. I now have a completely unique truck - no one else's truck looks like mine. There ARE a few Blue Flame FX2's in my area that are exactly like mine but - not any more!
2. The black is a flat finish - no gloss whatsoever. It matches the front bumper stops and back bumper step perfectly - like it is an OEM finish.
It's supposed to rain all day and night here and begin to clear up late Saturday - I'll wait till I can get some good sunlight before I take pictures.
VERY EXCITED to show it off!

Yes, to answer your question, it makes an excellent semi-permanent condomn. Black seems to be the most popular color.
