Anyone use the python led light bars off ebay. And no i cant afford rigid lol

 

Not the same but I bought an auxbeam 20" off of amazon and have had pretty good luck so far with it. Tons of light, reliable, and about 1/8 the cost of a rigid. There's a tons of forum post over in the jeep world about how to fix the typical issue with cheaper bars, condensation.

I have had a 30" from eBay for almost a year with no problems. Live in northern ontario canada, elements don't get much harsher than that and its held up good. Plus its bright and i only paid $140 for it

 

something i have noticed, and i'm not saying all elcheapo knock offs are like this... but i currently own a set of Rigid dually floods, and a set of dually spots, amazing lights. I did flushmount aux reverse lights in my rear bumper and couldn't justify paying for rigids for back there, so I opted for a set from amazon, approx $26 per light, look almost identical to Rigids. proof is in the product, while these are bright, awesome for reverse lights (mind you a lit match in a tornado would bat the stock lights)..... super bright actually, they are nowhere near as bright as the Rigids, also, ocasionally i notice a little condensation inside the lense. these lights are 7 months old, my Rigids are over 2years old.

Hopefully not all knockoffs are like this.

 

I don't doubt the Rigids are way brighter, I have heard that from many. if I could afford to spend that much on a light bar I would get them but I just can't justify it. I could think of many other things for $1100 Id rather buy lol. I also have HID's, so with my 30" combined on a country road at night I can see everything. Im sure the Rigid would be even brighter but Im not complaining with what I have for $140 . As far as condensation goes I have heard bad stories about some getting water as well. When I was looking for mine everyone said to buy one that is IP68, nothing less which I did.

Like I said mine is holding up good through harsh winters & tons of car washes/pressure washes. It is also right on the front out to the elements, not hidden behind the grille or anything. OP In the end its up to you what you want to get & It's what you're willing to spend. Hope that helps

 

Eyyourlife lights bars have pretty good reviews, I just picked up a 30" and 20" and they were $70 and $50 off amazon.

The quality looks to get there for a cheap bar. I'll be hooking up the 20" in the bumper hole this weekend.

 

Thanks guys ive had my 20" eyurlife in my bumper for a year and a half and no problems. Just found these python lights the other day. There Canadian so ill save with shipping since i live in ontario

 

When I was doing my Amazon special search, I contacted auxbeam and they said they warranty their light bars from Amazon for a year I think. So usually in the first brushless car wash you'll find out if you have the cheap condensation issue.

If you have it, take the end caps off, slide the glass out, completely dry it (and I mean at minimum a week), reseal and install.

 

Black Thunder, I agree with you 100%, I could never justify spending a grand + on a Rigid bar, reguardless of quality, they are way way overpriced.

My friend's dad works in the woods and put a cheapy 30" bar on the front of his Ram, it's a great light, he got extremely lucky and found a 50% off sale one day and pulled the trigger on it... $80 US. I tried to get one and missed the sale by a few hours... I wish he had of bout 2 or 20 lol

I'm happy with my 4 Rigid Duallys in the front, the knock offs provide more than enough light for backing up.... work great for anyone tailgaiting me or driving behind me with hi-beams still on..... flick of the switch and the have 2 bright white suns in their eyes.... they get the hint quickly.

When I do get a 20-30" bar, it will be an off brand..... money talks...... and mine says goodbye enough as it is....
