Door Lock Issues
New to forum and hope someone can help.
I have a 2010 ford f150 and i am having sporadic unlocking/locking issues with my door. The main issue is that when i lock the doors(with the Fob, door button or manually pushing down all four locks) that after a few minutes the all four will unlock themselves. Also, sometimes the the driver side and passenger side door buttons will lock and unlock doors and some times they wont. My key Fob always works when unlocking and locking doors.
I thought i found the issue as i noticed my driver power mirror wasnt working, found a couple damaged wires in door harness and i just today installed a new harness. Door lock issues are still present. The only way to keep my truck locked is my pulling fuse 17 and by doing that i now must use the key to get in and physical unlock all four doors by pulling each lock up. I have search the internet high and low and have found no solution
Please help? Thanls

I would assume that is controlled by the computer in the interior fusebox. If something computer controlled is giving random commands, probably a computer problem.
I don't understand how you say "key fob always works", but also "must use the key to get in and physical unlock". Aren't those contradictory?

I don't have my locks set to auto so I don't know for sure BUT
its likely you have your locks set on auto (to auto lock), also likely you have more broken wires on 1 or more of the other doors (ive found broken wires on every door). Im thinking MAYBE the sporadic connection is the issues your seeing.
The craziest issue I've noticed on the driver door wires is it wouldn't let you take the shifter out of park.

Assuming it was the driver door that you replaced the harness in, I would check front passenger next. Some of the same wires go over there for that Lock switch. Maybe a short in the wire can trigger the unlock.
Almost certainly the wires in that door hinge area. If you have the connector attached to the pillar, you can replace the door harness pretty easy. But, you can always just fix wires.

If your just going to try reconnecting the original wires back together with butt connectors or soldering then Id suggust instead add/extend the original wires (extend out the area where the wire bends).
Ive had the orignial stock fragual wires brake again & again using butt connectors & even soldering them (the wire damage point where it bends just relocates).
I then extended/added wire (to extend out the area where the wire bends) & Ive not had anymore issues with them in a few years now.
If the locks are getting water in them (like the newer f150s were because of the window seal etc) then they could be freezing just a thought.
