Where is the stick you refer to?

Default Wire breakage

Ive had the orignial stock fragual wires brake again & again using butt connectors & even soldering them (the wire damage point where it bends just relocates).
I then extended/added wire (to extend out the area where the wire bends) & Ive not had anymore issues with them in a few years now.

If the locks are getting water in them (like the newer f150s were because of the window seal etc) then they could be freezing just a thought.

.
I’ll ask you the same question - where is the breakage happening? At the center post or where it enters the door?

Default Door lock issues

Thank you for your responses and please see my replies. One development was that I got in the back and pushed down on the locked door rod (that sticks out to manually lock and unlock the door) and I felt it go down a bit and then I could pull it up and the door opened. So far it’s working like it should but I don’t think I fixed anything. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

If you open the door all the way you will find 4-6" of wire bundle becomes visible. If you open up the bundle, you should find the 3-4" long stick, and any breakage. My wire breakage was about 1.5" off of the pillar. I do have the connector at the pillar, not everyone does. And I'm not sure if the stick is in there when you don't have the connector.

You could also have a dying lock actuator.

I dont have the harness connector but still have the stick.
Id say my wires were breaking in the middle of the door opening (within the black rubber), I slid the black rubber piece inside the door during wire repair.
