Question Bolt-on "Bug Deflector"?

Hey y'all,

Got what may be a quick question...hopefully.

I am fixin' to order the weathertech window vent things for my truck and I am also in the market for a "bug deflector".

I would like one that is bolt-on, not one that relies heavily on 3M tape. After searching the forum and google, the OEM Ford deflector seems to be the one that is most bolt-on.

Is this correct, or are there more out there that use more bolts/screws than they do sticky stuff?

Thanks!

I have the ford one and it is very secure. No complaints. I am really happy with it.

I agree. The OEM is great.

Cool. I'll give the thread about another day to see if anybody else has any other opinions. If not, I'll be going OEM.

Thanks, y'all!

I'll be getting a low-profile OEM very soon for my black '13 FX4. Had one on my '05 and it was great.

So how can I pick up the OEM on the cheap?

Got quoted everywhere from $75-$100 from various dealers.

I like my (gasp) Chrome grill. I've been looking for one other than the stampede that bolts on and doesn't wrap down over the grill.

I like my AVS (Auto VentShade) very much. I went with the chrome one.

It does attach with tape for the center section, and then there is one screw on each side - it is VERY secure!!
