Have you seen the Stampede one? It's above. Bolted. But dunno if it comes in smoke or just chromed.

Man that is one beautiful truck! I dig the OEM bug deflector the best as well. Looks great.

On that stampede, there are pretty good gaps on each upper corner. Must be to let air through. You can slide your fingers through it, all of them. That's what's keeping me from buying.

I have the Stampede one in smoke. You have to take the front grill off to bolt it on and it is very secure. The openings on the sides (above the corners of the grill) let air through and water flow off from the hood. I have never heard any excess wind noise while traveling and it protects the hood while showing off the chrome grill.

does anybody know if the OEM ones come in clear? i like the looks of it, but i dont like the fact that it covers the top of my grill trim. if it came in clear i could paint the backside so the F-150 still shows through.

i guessi couls paint teh smoked one and get a F150 overlay, but that seems like it would be just another piece to get chipped up.

I am happy with my EGR Superguard. It wraps around the fender a bit. They also have the aerowrap that is a bit lower profile
