I just replaced mine a couple of months back and went with a Super Start Platinum AGM. Consumer Reports rated it the highest in the Group 65 size catagory.

Buy what fits the budget and warranty. I put a Wallyworld battery in mine over 5 years ago and it's still cranking like new.

I worked at Interstate Batteries for many years and can tell you its all the same junk. Pick the one thats the best price with the longest free replacement (prorated warranties are garbage).

ended up getting the super start extreme from the local o'Reilly's. $172 after rebate, has a little more oomph than the stock motorcraft and has a 3 year warranty. got 6 years and 106k out of the original so definitely got my money's worth!

thanks for the input guys

Walmart's warranty beats everyone. Would have been half that cost. Everstart Maxx 65N.

Here's a tip - buy the dirt cheap 50 dollar WalMart battery.

It's THE SAME battery as the Maxx....all you're paying extra for is the warranty.

And you can get one at 3am if the local is open 24/7 like ours is. Saved me from being late to work by 4hrs the morning my oem crapped out.
