I've had the Walmart one, but just haven't installed it. Mainly after learning about the battery memory system / having to let it sit for 8 hours before using the truck or something.

Disconnect the BMS sensor on the negative cable and never look back. No waiting as the alternator will automatically go into default mode.

Have had mine disconnected for almost 6 years now.

2013 f150 replaced OEM with a Walmart battery and it's been working great.

Do you ever sleep? My truck just sat for about 12 hours after getting home last night. I think people make this harder in their minds than it actually is.

Its an easy swap and one that people make out harder than it actually is. I replaced mine in a friends driveway when i thought my OE battery was on its way out (turned out to be the starter on its way out causing slow start, but still happy to get something 6yrs newer in there). I swapped the battery and fired it right up without issue. As i do with every vehicle i drive that needs a battery, it too got a walmart replacement battery. It was sub-100 bucks. Ive had issues with none of them over the years.

Just replace the dang thing like you would any other car. If you have issues, yank the negative terminal and let it sit for a while. Reconnect and let it sit overnight. You should be good to go!
