Default Automatic folding mirrors

My FX4 has the folding mirrors and I want to know if they can be programmed to fold automatically when the tranny is placed in park. 120 miles and I need a replacement mirror because I forgot to fold them. Expensive mistake $1k to replace from the dealer.

Probably been tried before by somebody. If you figure it out I'd keep it quiet
till you could put a patent on it, as it would make a nice option. Kind of like the
guy who invented the delay wipers.

I would be happy if they folded when the ignition was shut off.

i wonder if the folding mirror switch could be tapped into the door lock and unlock (like the tailgate lock mod) and this could fold in and fold out with the remote.

I'm confused as to why having the mirrors fold when the vehicle is placed in park would be convenient. It seems as though a feature allowing the mirrors to fold when approaching the garage door opening or the car wash would be most convenient. Am I missing something here???

Well for me....I park on a busy side street.....if I forget to fold them in...some moron might knock it clean off and keep going.

So how would you tell them you were on a busy street, car wash, or approaching you garage?

If you can't remember to fold them, it isn't Fords issue.
