OK I've decided that I would like to be able to unlock the doors on my 2013 STX with a remote vs having to stick my key in the door lock and turn it every time. This gets particularly old for times when the passenger side door is also locked.
I went out and purchased one of those universal systems, 2 door lock solenoid actuators, and 2 lock/unlock switches. If the wiring is all there in the door I'm pretty confident that I can splice into that harness and get the same functionality as the factory set-up. Meaning that my key fob will lock/unlock the truck, turn the interior lights on when the truck is unlocked, and the switch will lock/unlock door and it's illumination will dim/turn off in sync with the dash lighting.
Even if the door wiring's not all there I can still make it work as above by running the necessary wiring from the door out into the dash and make my connections there.
Then I got to thinking if the door harness wiring is all there, why not go a more "OEM-ish" route by wiring the aftermarket switch and solenoids into it, and then install a
BC3Z-19G364-A kit to get the wireless, activating the keyless entry in the BCM using Forscan?
I'm not interested in the remote start feature for now, just the door locks.
BCM functionality yes, without power door locks harness is unlikely. Easy way to find out for sure. Pull the driver door panel and look for an unused electrical connector that looks like it would plug into this.

Yes that was going to be my next step, meaning pulling the door panel off and seeing what's in there. I take it the plug you're showing is for the lock/unlock switch?

That is the connector for the oem keyless entry keypad.

This one may have been a DSO (Dealer Special Order) as it's equipped with CD/AC/speed control/power steering & brakes. Also 3.7l 6-speed auto, not a 3.5 Ecoboost. So hoping the door harness is all there.
