5.4 acting up!
back story to what I've done before this happen....i installed a k&n cai, and a week later i installed a bbl 80mm tb. sucks so much in. when i get on it its almost like its sucking too much and won't go fast at all....i did these things cause i was tired of the throttle response....the other day i was pulling into traffic and got on it and all you could hear is it sucking in air but the car wasn't really going fast, it was going but at pretty much wot it wasn't going anywhere...anyway about a 10 sec later my engine light starting blinking and the engine was bogging down...i pulled over turn off than right back on and it was all fine again...what could be the issue. I have a 2010 fx4 screw

Check the MAF sensors between the filter and throttle body on the tubing.
Chances are you got some K&N oil on it and it screws up the readings and will make the motor run screwy. There is MAF cleaner at auto parts store. It's delicate so be gentle.

Clean up your stock intake and throttle body.
Put them back on, clean the MAF and install a new paper air filter.
Bet the truck runs normal again.

If you want zero lag this is the way to go, these are drive by wire meaning the throttle sends an electronic signal vs a cable physically doing it. The tuner can program out the lag for instant throttle response.
