Technically, but it's an older filter, i think it might be the bypass pressure that's a different PSI.

I also am constantly amazed at the claims about how "perfect" (fill in the brand name oil here) works based only on how many miles you've used it. I have never heard of an oil related engine FAILURE.....ever. You could probably run the cheapest recycled oil sold out of the back door of a wrecking yard, and your engine would not "fail" because of the oil.
Now if you want to talk about your engine seeming to start and run more quietly, or get better mpg, or as mentioned -- tearing it down and have it look new inside.....then I am all ears.
So you're telling us you haven't heard of. Engine locking up with failure to maintain oil changes intervals?????
As a former ford tech I have seen more than 100 cases of this happening........smdh

I retracted my comment on this topic due to it angering some. You can obviously see it in the quoted replies. I'm sorry I didn't mean to upset some.
I had no idea people here were so easily triggered over a simple forum comment. In reading over all the comments on this topic it's apparent there a few others
who need to run their replies by VBFORDGUY for his approval before posting.

Ford recommends the 5W 20 because it pumps better cold giving the lubrication at cold.
Having said that I have gotten as much as 500,000 miles out of them. I'd probably say stick with the 5-20
These newer engines don't do that well with the heavier weights.
All of this is wrong, sorry to have to break this to you.

Ford say to *only* use 5w20 because by contract/law, they cannot say anything else, CAFE stipulations mandate this. Ford requested their vehicles to be tested and rated by CAFE using the 5w20 oil because it gains them a small efficiency in MPG, that buys them points/money to the EPA.

5w is the only part of the oil viscosity that refers to cold flow, so a 5w20 and a 5w30 are exactly the same when cold.

Nothing about new engines have issues with 'heavier' oil weights, even the 0w16 Toyota engines run fine on 5w30 and have barely any noticed MPG loss.

wow I didnt mean to trigger you VBFordGuy. However at the end of the day it's all just lubricant for a engine. Peole can put whatever they want in their engines. Really doesn't matter to me.
