The 3.7 versus the 6.2 thread
I said this in one of the many debate threads so there...Everyone on this forum, moderators alike, have had just about enough of the "Ecoboost versus 5.0" threads that crop up almost every single day so I thought....... hmmm...... let's spice it up for a bigger waste of forum space. In this thread we don't care about your 5 liters mileage...... or your Ecoboost's supposed pulling abilities..... you have about 1000 threads where you can discuss that and tell each other how much you hate one another based on the engine you chose.
If you don't own a 5.0 or an Ecoboost or if you want to talk about something constructive come on in!

I had an EB in my 2012. My 2014 has the 3.7L and it's a great engine for my use. It doesn't have the torque of the EB,but I'm more than happy with it. The exhaust note is also very nice.
In the next truck, I'll go with the 5.0 because Ford has dropped the 3.7 for a 3.5 which has less HP/torque than the 3.7. No more EB's for me

I noticed that too which I thought was pretty dumb on their part. They easily had one of the better naturally aspirated V6 engines out there and basically neutered the market by replacing it with a weaker engine. I guess it's Ford's marketing move to push more people to the 2.7 Eco.
They deleted my engine entirely which just means these will be likely my last Ford trucks.

I have a question, are the new 2.7's going to have the same off-spec turbo mount as the 3.7? If it has a standard flange I can see some 2.7's getting all sorts of upgrades and surprising the hell out of people. And it's a sad day that the 6.2 is gone. I understand not many sales, but c'mon......it's a 6.2. lol.
