In the next truck, I'll go with the 5.0 because Ford has dropped the 3.7 for a 3.5 which has less HP/torque than the 3.7. No more EB's for me
Now you've gone and done it with mention of the puffer motor. In any case, FoMoCo's decision for reduced displacement was key to my reason for ordering my FX4...

I feel like Ford has too many engine options now. 3.5, 2.7, 5.0,3.5tt.

Wtf?

Pick two. Maybe 3. But four? No wonder the 6.2 had to go.

That's why they need to put the ponies into the 5.0 Coyote ...make it King of the Hill in HD
Since Chevy got the 6.2 and Dodge has the 5.7 (or 6.1Hemi)

I wish I had the scratch to pick up a 6.2 F-150. They don't seem to get too much worse gas mileage than the other engines. Adios, big V8. R.I.P.

My F150 XLT was $32K out the door Canadian with a 6.2 in it. They aren't expensive really but more difficult to come by. XLT's with 6.2's just aren't common....... nor are they on any trim.

Cubic inches would be nice. A 5.0 liter V8 can make tons of power but will always fall short on the low end compared with something bigger..... Oh well.

The real reason why Ford dropped the 6.2L from the F150 is because its a reliable engine and Ford won't make money on fixing it once the warranty expires.

I haven't seen a single 6.2 at my dealership. They, like most others, really favor the EcoBoost or 3.7 over other motors. I paid like $23k for my STX, which is a steal IMO. I really wanted the rubber floors, a console, and a V8.

They don't offer the 6.2 in the STX, I didn't really care for the XLT, and I couldn't afford an FX. Ha!
