2013 Sync 2 to 2017 Sync 3 Conversion Attempted
I want to do this in my Tremor with sync 2, my factory amp is having issues with right channel breaking up, any way to update the amp as well? Also looking at upgrading to heated/cooled seats hoping to be able program that too.
Is the newer F150 screen a bolt in affair if I can find it?

Will this screen work?

Just finished (mostly), I didn't realize I would need the 4Dtech USB harness and faceplate adapter but I just ordered them.
I used the following codes for my Tremor:

I'm curious, has anyone with dual climate control and the sync 3 conversion had any luck getting the temp adjustment to show up in AA or CarPlay? I noticed this on a friends 17 explorer and would like that feature.
Not really sure I understand what you're asking. While in CarPlay mode you can always still access your temp and audio controls through sync.
Also, people who have gone to the newer car play hub, do you still get slow charge speeds like with the sync 2 setup or does this allow for a more powerful charge? I think the original sync one is a 1 amp connection, but I'll have to hook my USB charge rate thing up and see for sure.
When adjusting the volume on my truck while in sync 3 or AA, I get a circular notification on the screen in the center that shows what I'm adjusting the volume to. On the Explorer I mentioned, his did the same thing with the temp control whether in AA or just on the normal sync 3 side, so if you adjust the temp with the *****, a circular notification pops up and shows you what your adjusting the temp to. This would be nice while in AA as you can't see what the temp is set to and instead have to go back to sync to see it.

As for the hub, I haven't noticed any increase in power. The only way you would be able to change the amount of power would be to change the transformer/power supply to the hub (just like an iphone plug versus an ipad plug) and I don't think that is done here.
Do you see a circular notification when you turn the fan/temp up or down even just in the normal sync screens?
I checked the output of the sync 2 hub that I'm still using, its outputting .45 amp, phone recognizes it at slow charging. I know the rental mustang and lincoln mkt I recently had both had sync 3 and had a more powerful charge. I'm wondering if the newer hub allows that, since its getting a 12v signal anyway, its probably just a low output with the old setup. Anyone with the newer hub have a USB power reader that can check the value?
