Is it just me or is it really just that terrible. The reason im wonder is i had a 2010 mazdaspeed 3 with the tech package and it had the 360w Bose system in it and it was more loud and clear than my new fords 700w system!.. now this is double the wattage output so you would think it would be much more chrisp and loud on the top end but its not... I find that when you get any more than 60% up the stereo automatically limits the treble and bass but its NOT EVEN loud you could have a conversation with someone beside you if the stereo was cranked up.

Now if this is all the system has is there anyways to get into the amp and maybe limit the bass and treble cut features when the volume goes up cause i know for sure the speakers can handle it cause they do not distort in the slightest when turned up all the way.. Im just really dissappointed cause i paid the extra money for this and am soo upset with how it sounds my 360w mazda stereo blew it out of the water.. Now i use to have a competition system made by mtx that i paid 14,000$ for and had over 10,000watts i do not want that anymore cause iv grown out of the head pounding thump but i do like to turn my music up and have it nice and loud and clear but i cant even do that.. anyone else in this boat what should i do.. get a JL audio clean sweep and upgrade the whole system.. cause if so there goes that extra money on the sony system for nothing
It's not really new. It's been the same for the last few years.

And I agree. For a premium "700" watt system I think it sucks.

I personally don't think it's anywhere near 700 watts. I have a 50 watt amp at home that puts this "700" watt system to shame.

I wish we had someone here in the business that could accurately measure what we really have. I'm convinced we would have another mustang horsepower type deal on our hands here.

This is the one area of my '11 Platinum I feel completely cheated out of my $2500.

Well does anyone know if you can just change out the amps in this truck. like i really dont wanna have to cut and hack wires to add a complete system to this truck all i want is it to get a little louder. i really dont know what they were thinking the should have advertised a 200w system cause thats all we actually got.

I read somewhere on here that someone bought like $60 speakers for the doors and made a huge difference.

I swear my system will sound **** *** on one song (not clear, low bass), then it will sound fairly good on another (same genre of music, volume, etc.)

well personally i like the way the systems sounds, its very accurate hits all the highs lows and mids its suppose to but when you turn it up the volume just cuts its self back which is total bull. the system has more in it i know it cause the speakers dont distort at all even when cranked up.. it has to do with the amp outtage.. i cant see changing the speakers doing anything cause there wouldnt be enough running them anyways..just really sucks im going to have to spend 4000 bucks for something that sounds half decent after already spending money on this system im livid! theres gotta be a mod to get into the stock amp and just turn that up.. anyone will to take there console out to try it?

The Sub box mod makes a noticable difference in sound quality....
It won't rattle the mirrors off the truck, but a marked improvement
All for 10 minutes and 3 bucks (or free if you raid the wife's craft room)

well see with me its not to much the sub thats bothering me, its the actual volume of the door speakers.. like i turn the thing up to its max before the auto amp cut(supposly to save speakers) and its not loud at all i could have a conversation with someone beside me very easily.... like i dunno what to do just not pleased with it. i may try the sub mod just so i get a bit more boom bbut then that will probably drown out my speakers haha.. i miss my speed 3 360w bose system

You may have a problem with yours then. When my system is anywhere over half, I can't yell rather then talk to the person next me. I agree it's not worth the money we spend to upgrade but I think it's one of the best stockers I've heard, I have the 2004 Mazda6 Bose system in my car and that isn't half as good. If speakers are your biggest concern, you can upgrade your speakers fairly easy without doing too big of a mod.

The Sony system is only $410. You paid $2500 for the Sony system and your indash navigation. (Which I would still feel cheated about...LOL)
