Need help. 2022 F150 with the 3.5 Ecoboost. Noticed this shuddering/ loss of power since it was brand new. Now has 2000 miles on it. Happens with light or moderate acceleration in the high gears. No codes are getting thrown so dealer doesn't know what to do. Any suggestions?
Hi there! I can look into your F-150’s shudder concerns on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your F-150’s VIN?

I see Ford still hasn’t gotten this 3.5EB figured out yet after 10 + years of it being on the market. My 14 kept fouling the #5 plug and when it happened it would shutter similar to what you speak of. Got rid of it with 52k on it in favor of a 5.0. Besides the fuel pump going out at 60k miles that truck was pretty much trouble-free. Traded that one in on the 2019 3.5EB I have now. Just got it out of the shop from a 2 week visit to get cam phasers replaced. I had the cam phaser rattle. Went in for the Ford recommended PCM reprogram and that made it worse and then started getting the shuttering at low rpm (1000-1500) regardless of gear. Also started with a rough idle almost as if it wanted to kill at times after the reprogram. Now after the cam phaser replacement the truck runs fine, no rattler or shutter anymore but still has the rough idle. Was hoping this was fixed on the new ones but I guess not. Next truck will be 5.0 again or maybe 7.3 in a 250. Or who knows...might go to a GM 🤷🏻♂️
