I've since drilled a hole in my CAC, and installed a UPR catch can. So far so good.

Hard to believe that those goons at Ford never ran into this

As Bravo3eco posted at the end of the last page, the plug issue will continue to happen until the condensate issue is addressed. Plugs will foul and misfire occur until the source of the error is removed. I had to drill the hole 2 weeks into purchasing my used EB. I then installed the original RX catch can and swapped out all my plugs to the SP534 (carefully checking the gap) and the motor ran like a beast the rest of the time until I sold it recently. I had obvious carbon tracking on 3 of the plugs when I first changed them. The catch can would drain 20oz/week in the winter, both oil vapor and water condensate. I'd do everything possible to keep that motor running strong if I were you. It's a little investment to keep that thing purring!

shameless plug...my original welded design RX monster catch can is for sale https://www.f150forum.com/f59/rx-mon...fixins-358170/

My '14 has really started to shudder more lately. I want to drill the weep hole, but frankly, I don't want the mess of the oily water dripping all over my garage. Has anyone come up with a 'cleaner' solution for the weep hole? I tried to search this post, but couldn't come up with anything.

I drilled the weep hole and had the catch can. Never had sludge on garage floor.

Jeez I would be pretty scared to start drilling holes in my truck

Hewitt, I was super nervous. And I did I two weeks after buying the truck, out of warranty obviously. Thing is there's tons of threads on here and many YouTube videos that made me pretty confident in the process, but yeah, not my favorite time in car ownership

I was having a shudder of sorts at WOT on the highway. Checked and re gapped the plugs. Looked over the coils and made sure they were clean. Then I decided to go to the dealer and get new boots for the coils. Relatively cheap, so why not.

Changed them and went for a drive. Previous I could make it act up at will. Shudder was gone.
