Anyone have experience with this? Ford states that is comparable with 2.7 Ecoboost start stop, stage 3 motor sports says that I will cut out if you leave start stop on, and kickers website states it’s not compatible with start/stop engines.
I really like fit and function of this and think it will add the added sound I desire without breaking the bank and will allow me to keep my floor space. Looking to add some sound to my 2018 stx without going to a full system. I want to keep the start stop feature enabled as I do a lot of city start stop driving.
Open to to suggestions and looking for feedback on this subwoofer with factory speakers.
I just had one installed in my 2019 Screw XLT. 2.7 Ecoboost. The part for the 2019 is listed to work with auto stop start. I ordered it via Ford Accessories, and paid an extra $100 for the install - the site says dealer installation is required (probably because there is some reconfiguration of module settings.). The dealer had no idea how to install it, and had to resort to an independent contractor to do the work. They whined that $100 was not enough, but honored the cost anyway. Works properly, and sounds OK, but is a bit muffled - I prefer tighter, more "punchy" bass. For now I'll keep it because I didn't want to give up floor space.
I've been kicking this idea around as well. I've been wondering whether my '19 SCab XLT (not yet in my driveway) has the connector hiding behind the seat...which would be somewhat pivotal to my decision to buy!
OP: have you verified that you have the connector?
Also...
Couldn't this be configured with Forscan? The selling price is breathtaking enough without the additional hit for the 6 minutes the dealer spends on OBDII activation!
Hate to tell anyone this that already purchased this unit but there are cheaper and significantly better sounding options available that can easily be installed in the driveway.

or this guy who gets great reviews $140. You could buy nearly 5 for the price of the kicker. One under every seat . These would also probably fit behind the seats too without much trimming. Would definitely fit if you trim the back wall insulation.
Although if I am willing to spend $700, I would probably go with one of the JL powered options. They are hard to beat as an all in one solution. They can be beat if you do separates amp/sub but even then you aren't saving a whole lot of money, just ability to switch options easier.

The problem is ultra compact subs is they never sound great. It's an improvement but not enough to pay for. A true shallow 8 in an inclosure with a built in amp will decimate that sub.

Yes, but compared to the kicker factory option, I would go with the one I linked every single time. Granted, I personally, would not choose either one for my use. Especially if I was already ok with spending $700. I would get a SI bm mkv ($320), custom made box (~$200-$300 if you have it custom made locally by a really good shop, way cheaper if ordered online or DIY), and amp ($80 Polk Audio PAD2000.2) for that $700.
