Default Cerwin Vega vpas10 subwoofer

Looking to add a powered sub to the truck. Anyone have experience with the vpas10? Looking for any info good or bad.

I tried to search with limited success. Any help would be appreciated.

This is in a '15 supercrew without Sony or kicker.

Thanks,

Can I install with a wpt1212 and plug into the connector behind the seat?

If it's possible I think this is the route I'm going.

verify that you have the plug in the back of your truck, if you have the plug then you can use the harness + for scan to enable it.

I had the VPAS 10, honestly it was kinda boomy, I didn't like it.

Thanks,
I just had this subwoofer installed in my 2017 F150 Lariat, it has a nice punch, really fills out the music. I had it installed behind the passenger seat where the OEM unit would be. A better option in my opinion.

Mace did you use the plug behind the seat or run wires from up front?

The installer ran wires from the head unit and used an adapter to use the RCA low level inputs. A neat installation.

Was this a self install using the factory plug behind the seat or a pro install?

Thanks for the info. Also did you use all connections on the factory plug or tap into the speaker wires for high level signal?
