Just spoke o metro about this, they said they dont have a part number out for our trucks yet and that this is bs

 

Methinks that is a post by the eBay merchant himself. He didn't buy one to install a double-DIN Alpine; I'm afraid he ain't doing anything but selling.

I understand what it says. I've been calling about every 2 weeks since I got my truck. They said that part number isn't valid and not in their system yet. Said it would be at least another 60-90 days.

Same here! I would rather keep my factory AC controls as well, but at this point I just want to be able to install my gear.

 

Well, hell. I'm sorry. I was wrong in assuming you were just hitting all the forums trying to drum up business. I seriously apologize for this.

I did take the entire dash kit and bezel apart (yes, I disassembled the actual bezel, circuit boards and all) to see what it would take to install my AVH-4100NEX. If I was better at fiberglass or bondo, I might actually give it a shot. I found what part goes to what (and even the leads for the backup camera) and there is room to mount my head unit... If only I could finish out the bezel to look professional once it is done....
On a more depressing note, still no word on a Schosche or Metra 2016 double-DIN dash kit

 

U should have taken pics man. That's the only part I'm worried about. But fab work is easy. There was a stock dash piece on ebay the other day and someone grabbed it before I could. So I'll keep looking.

 

I contacted Scosche about their dash kit. Was told the end of the month. Im not holding my breath...
