Hi, I'm a new member and look forward to exploring the site and hopefully learning how to find out the safe weight for a new travel trailer I'm shopping for. I have a 2011 f150 with ecoboost and find the whole topic confusing.
The truck is great and really screams.

Read your user manual. Should have the max tow weights in a chart somewhere. Welcome to the forum.

Thank for the welcome. The towing chart is great. I know that my ecoboost with the 3.55 is rated at 9600 lbs. but what I don,t get is how smart would it be to tow a trailer that weighs more than my truck? The dealer says its ok. The rv he has weighs 8700. Tongue is 670 or so. Thoughts?
