Hello,
I am a new Ford owner. Just recently bought a 2001 F150 Super Crew with the 5.4 L motor. It has 91,000 miles and is in great shape. I got it through a private sale for $7000 which I thought was a fair price.

What does everyone think of the 5.4 liter engine? I have heard some bad stuff about them after I bought this truck.

i've had two f150s with 5.4 L engines and haven't had too many problems with them.

I have a 5.4L as well and it has served me well over the last 10k. It has 46k on it but other than being kinda loud on cold start, it is fine.

Welcome to the boards!

I have the 5.4L engine and no complaints thus far. The only thing I am absolutely dreading is that first spark plug change.
