First question, is what's legal in your state?

I have stock in the rear and rear windows and 35% in the front (most I can have in NC and be legal).

Pictures are in my garage.

Umm......Yeah. I asked the guy what was legal. Then asked him what would look good. 35% is like having nothing. BUT, it IS legal. It's all in what you want bro. You want dark, get it. You want legal, not going to do much. Just my thoughts. I got the "eyebrow" too. $110.
It is a biatch at night too. Can's see much. But, I love it!
Oh, I believe mine is 15%, I think. He called it Limo Tint.

Let me clarify the 'legal' part.

Here in NC we have state inspections. If you're window tint is illegal, the shop will not pass the vehicle and you get to pay for a second inspection after you have it removed.

This is in addition to the ticket you can get from a LEO. I have seen posts where LEOs actually took a razor blade and sliced the tint on the second ticket stop...

Ouch! Ok, glad I dont live in a state with inspections. I would definitely stay within legal if I had to.

i'm going to do 5% all around even over the factory smoke in the back. i like it where they cant see in. and as far as the inspection goes you can find someone willing to pass it. slip them alittle extra and most places will pass it.

In NC, when the LEO pulls you over for a tint violation the officer will also ask you where you got your vehicle inspected and when you had the tint installed.

You can lie, but you better have a receipt and it better be after the inspection date.

The garage is then fined and they lose their state inspection certification.

This is one of the biggest things I hate about NC!!!
My truck (that i bought used) apparently had illegal tint and they wouldn't pass my inspection. So I just went down the road and rolled into a different inspection station with the windows rolled down . Passed no prob.
I think the 1st place didn't know what they were doing....I got pulled over previous to that and the officer didn't say a thing about my tint
